Rotate the rings, line up the gaps, free them all
A velvet tray of enamel rings, each one a C-shaped arc locked through its neighbours on brass pegs. A ring lifts off only when its gap faces every ring it still touches — rotate ring by ring in crisp 15° clicks, free the tray against its proven par, and beware the geared pairs: from the third tangle on, some rings are toothed together, so turning one turns its partner the other way. Clear tangle after tangle in the endless ladder, or take on the one daily tray.
