How to play

1. Eight lots, one purse. Each lot shows its item, category and condition — never its true resale value.
2. Rivals open the bidding, then it is your call: raise on the bid grid, or fold and leave the lot to them.
3. Read the rivals: each has a personality and a tell. A strained rival is nearly done; a lurking miser has not started.
4. Intel is a resource: one free appraiser's hunch (a value range) per sale; later hunches cost 15, an exact peek costs 45.
5. Win lots under value. If a rival wins ABOVE value, the excess is split among the losers — including you.
6. Score = final purse + resale of your lots − starting purse. The server replays your whole sale from your action log, so sharp reading is the only cheat code.

A three-minute valuation duel. Eight mystery lots cross the block — a brass kettle, a locked toolbox, a crate of tea — each with a hidden resale value only its condition hints at. Four rival bidders sit at your table, each with a seeded personality and tells you can learn: the bluffer who performs early, the whale who barely tries, the miser lurking for a bargain. Spend your one free appraisal wisely, buy a peek when the stakes justify it, and let the whale overpay — when a rival wins above true value, the excess comes back to the losers as a rebate. Finish with the biggest profit: purse plus resale, minus what you started with.
