Cast, strike the bite, mind your line wear
How to play
- Each cast shows three fish shadows. Bigger, deeper shadows mean heavier fish — worth more, but they fight harder and fray your line.
- Tap a shadow (or ←/→) and cast. Wait for the bobber: small dips are nibbles — striking then spooks the fish. Strike on the full plunge!
- In the fight, hold REEL (↑) while the fish cruises and GIVE (↓) when it surges. Keep tension in the green: too hot strains the line, too slack and the fish shakes free.
- Line wear lasts all session. Strain and snaps add wear; at 100 the line gives out and the session ends. Between casts you may spend a mend kit (−30 wear) — you only have two.
- Score is the value of landed fish, plus bonuses for a clean strike and a smooth, strain-free fight. A snap costs 30 points. A rare golden fish is worth double.
- Daily mode gives everyone the same lake for the day.

A quiet lake, ten casts, and a line that remembers everything. Read the fish shadows — big shadow, big fish, big fight — cast, wait out the nibbles, strike the true bite, then work the tension duel: reel while the fish cruises, give line when it runs, and never let the line strain too long. Every strained fight frays the line for the rest of the session, and a worn line strains sooner. Two mend kits are all the repair you get, so picking your fights IS the game.
